Both companies have signed the acquisition agreement that will allow Damel Group take over the management of the factory in Valladolid. This business movement, whose transaction will be completed after the summer, is part of the Group's growth strategy.
61 jobs, several production lines and some complementary equipment for manufacturing and packaging. These are the main aspects that Damel Group will maintain after the agreement signed with Mondelez International on March 3. The former Dulciora factory will be taken over by Damel Group in September, when the transaction is expected to be completed. The agreement does not contemplate the sale of any of the brands of Mondelez International, but the manufacture of some of them by Damel during, at least, the following two years.
The acquisition of the Valladolid plant is in addition to the previous ones carried out by the Group with the factories of Kelia, in Marchena, and Rucoco, in Toledo. The first, which specializes in flavoured soft drinks to freeze, and the second, dedicated to the manufacture of sweets and Christmas products, come to complete a wide range of brands in different markets: Damel, Palotes and Pectol in confectionery; Kelia and Casamayor in nuts and Meivel in chocolate.
With the Valladolid factory, the company already has six production plants in Spain and over 500 workers. The Group expects to significantly increase its capacity to face all future launches, aimed at creating a new position and strengthening its international expansion.
